Deliverables

Clients say: "The most value you delivered was selling my business, and fast!" George Ward, Ward & Garrison Co.

The Dillon Group professionals pride themselves on delivering results through clear, concise communications. The middle market industry is littered with unfinished transactions. Dillon’s process and approach gives transaction results three times greater than the industries national average. WHY? The simple answer is tenacity and planning.

The Dillon Group Process & Approach "The worst thing an owner can do is rush into a transaction or allow themselves to be put in a position of stress or de-stress while negotiating a transaction." Says Tom McCoy a Dillon managing director. "The way to minimize stress is to create a definitive plan detailing every goal and objective before entering the market, well before entering into negotiations"

"We tried to bail out of our business with unrealistic expectations and the market showed us our insanity. With the help of the Dillon Group we strengthened 3 key elements of our business and within 2 _ years sold the business for 4 times what we had originally hoped to get." Mark & Nancy Brown, Stroudsberg, PA

The path to success.

Define and refine
In a business transaction, a map can be drafted from the business owner’s detailed goals and objectives. Even the most accomplished planners have found tremendous value in the Dillon Groups process of defining and refining personal goals, career goals, and business goals. After all "a business is merely a vehicle to help reach your goals. Not to diminish the thrill and excitement of the journey." Ron Dillon co-found.

Examine the options
Far too many owners only view Merger & Acquisition as a tool to exit their business when its techniques and tactics can accomplish much more, an example is when an owner is trying to gain liquidity and reduce their hours and workload. Five different tactics could accomplish these macro goals: selling, executing a management buy-out, going public, merging, recapitalization, or with a unique twist, an alliance could generate liquidity and reduce workload. The same multitude of options exists for the growing company that employ Merger & Acquisition techniques to grow their business. An example can come when the macro goals are to grow the firm while maintaining strong financial condition. Many different macro tactics could become part or all of the solution: going public, merging, capital leasing, recapitalization, alliance, angel funds, venture capital or government grants or loan programs.

Definitive plan
The Dillon Group professionals guide their client owners through a process that identify multiple options each with the focus on client’s goals and objectives. The grading and prioritization of these strategies and tactics are documents in a definitive plan including benchmarks and time lines. Like any good plan it remains flexible to change as the Industries and market develop.

Execution & completion of the plan
Most Dillon Group engagements have small planning fees with the majority of the compensation dependent on a successful outcome. After 20 plus years of being compensated for success, the Dillon Intermediaries are extremely focused on creating and delivering successful outcomes.
